Letting Go

It isn't about the time ahead
That brings about the fear
It's more about the past you save
And memories that you hold dear

You feel as if it'll all be gone
The experience of life itself
The drama past that you create
Expressions of the way you felt

You feel somehow that you'll be gone
Like dust blowing up in the wind
It hurts to think it will all be lost
Like somehow you'll never win

But letting go brings love to life
A newness so rich with light
A freedom born on God's soft wings
Watching your life take flight

Seeing the play for what it is
A chance to begin again
To share with those your choice includes
A lover, a brother, a friend.

To write your script with a conscious pen
To erase with an immediate flair
To bring to choice the heaven's love
Every place, every moment, everywhere.
